Glenwood Springs Adventure Park amusement park high in the Rocky Mountains is a fun family vacation spot and great for kids. A gondola skylift takes you up to an Old West style park with rides, shows, games and even panning for gold!
The healing hot springs at Glenwood Springs, Colorado, in the Rocky Mountains has been a draw for tourists and swimmers since before the first homesteader in the 1880s. In addition to the spa resorts, it offers history such as Doc Holliday, wonderful restaurants, historic hotels and even an altitudinous amusement park! Just a few hours west of Denver by car or Amtrak, it makes a great weekend destination.
Some stunning photography from my Colorado Rocky Mountain road trip via I-70 on Memorial Day weekend 2017. From Denver to Glenwood Springs, the snow and landscapes were gorgeous. And the road signs were not for flatlanders!
Civic Center EATS is a gathering of food trucks near Denver's Capitol and courthouse. Each summer you can get your gourmet lunch from one of more than 20 food trucks parked in Civic Center Park Tuesday through Thursday. It's hard to choose only one cuisine: BBQ, Korean, Peruvian, New Orleans, coffee, ice cream, desserts, Columbian, Thai, Chinese, you name it! The event benefits the Civic Center Conservancy and you can't find a more delicious meal in Colorado.
I visited the Denver Botanic Gardens next to Cheesman Park in Colorado on a lovely spring day. They were having their spring plant sale and I got a hint of all the wonderful western, international and water gardens there.
