I created A Travel for Taste on the premise that travel and food bring people together and promote cross-cultural understanding. Toward the same end, I support all those working for equality to eliminate the institutionalized racism experienced by black citizens in the USA. I see you and hear you. I am with you. This is a pivotal time in history. What we do now sets the tone for our future. Let us listen to one another and come to understand each other as human beings.

Two bronze sculptures of Teddy Roosevelt, both by sculptor Dan Snarr, flank Longs Peak Avenue in Longmont, Colorado, just across from Roosevelt Park. Do you sense a theme? T. Roosevelt actually made a whistlestop in Longmont in 1900 while campaigning as Vice-Presidential candidate to William McKinley. This post presents pictures of both statues plus the park, along with some interesting info.
A community's loving memorial to a beloved resident, John Breaux. A bronze likeness of him stands in the center of town as a testament to his friendliness and status in Louisville, CO. We should all be half as loved.
