Throwback Tuesday Post (TBTP) from 2010: November 1 is a day of honoring past family members in Germany. But it isn't like Day of the Dead in Mexico. Families do visit the cemetery, but the mood is somber, just like the weather.
Come with me on a less-than-actually-spooky expedition to find a purported vampire's grave in Lafayette, Colorado, just north of Denver. Fodor Glava, who died in 1918, certainly left his mark by being from Transylvania and saying so on his tombstone.
I visited the Denver Botanic Gardens next to Cheesman Park in Colorado on a lovely spring day. They were having their spring plant sale and I got a hint of all the wonderful western, international and water gardens there.
I'm pleased to announce another first for A Travel for Taste: our very first guest blog! This week I've invited fellow photographer Paula Showen to share a blog post about about her visit to a historical New Orleans cemetery a few years ago. Happy Halloween!
