This week's post is about the Rolling Pin Kitchen Emporium in Brandon, Florida, an upscale kitchen supply store. Not the least of their wonderful features is their instructional program. They offer classes on everything from basic knife skills to preparing gourmet meals. The staff is professional and the instructors are knowledgeable and effective. Not only that, you should see their classroom!
An addition to the Things to Do in Tampa Bay Florida series: Florida Aquarium, just down the street from the Tampa Bay History Center Museum in Channelside. The Aquarium has thorough native Florida exhibits and exotic creatures from around the world; it's a very family-friendly place.
Kids will love an outing to Cypress Point Park on Tampa Bay Florida. It's right in the approach path to Tampa International Airport and the planes fly quite low and directly over this park. It's a great picnic venue with built-in entertainment, plus it's on the water in a fairly quiet area (if you don't count the jet engine noise).
Next in my series of things to do with relatives who stay too long at your house in Tampa Florida: Adventures Archery on Highway 301. Indoor, A/C target practice and a full range of rental equipment, as well as retail bow sporting goods. Nice price, nice people, fun afternoon!
Next in the series of where to take your visitors in Florida: Tarpon Springs Sponge Docks. A small, pleasant few blocks of waterfront with Greek architecture and food, plus shells, souvenirs and sponges galore at kitschy little shops.
