Come with me on a less-than-actually-spooky expedition to find a purported vampire's grave in Lafayette, Colorado, just north of Denver. Fodor Glava, who died in 1918, certainly left his mark by being from Transylvania and saying so on his tombstone.
November 1 is a day of honoring past family members in Germany. But it isn't like Day of the Dead in Mexico. Families do visit the cemetery, but the mood is somber, just like the weather.
Visit the grave of a beloved dog that was a pet of toll booth operators in the 1950s. Shep the Turnpike Dog's grave is now located next to the Broomfield Depot Museum in Colorado.
Buffalo Bill's Grave and Museum (Pahaska Teepee) on Lookout Mountain in Golden, CO. Just outside of Denver, this is a family, kid-friendly tourist destination. The views are spectacular and the museum is well done.
