Slideshow of my photos from Pearl Street Mall in Boulder, Colorado, a pedestrian zone with dozens of restaurants, pubs, bars and shops, not to mention thousands of visitors each year.
About two hours from Tampa Bay or Orlando, Micanopy's numerous antique shops reside in a quaint, old-Florida neighborhood under a canopy of Spanish moss. A couple of nice places to eat and a stroll amid whatnots from days gone by is a nice break from the hubbub of the big city and the amusement parks.
Continuing the series of inexpensive daytrips near the Tampa Bay, Florida, area, this week I present the murals on the Mazzaro Italian Market buildings in St. Petersburg. When you have out-of-town visitors and don't know what to do with them, treat them and yourself to an interesting, photographable destination that is cheap and uncomplicated.
