In the course of my teaching I meet such wonderful people, especially my students. Most of them are adults and are in it for business purposes. What’s interesting is that I teach most of them via Skype online so we never meet in person. Nonetheless, we get to know each other quite well and become friends.
One such student is Martina, a young German woman who works for an international bank and so needs English for that purpose. But I have learned that she and her husband have a pair of lovebirds which I hear in the background during our weekly lessons. Martina has the most delightful laugh and uses it often. Whenever she does, the birds raise a crescendo of singing in response. It must be a bright, sunny household!
