Egmont Key is accessible only by boat, so my fellow photographer and I boarded the tour boat and set out to photograph the historical island. It features a working lighthouse, gopher tortoises and ruins of an old army fort.
A popular state park in Pinellas County, FL, Ft. DeSoto has natural beaches, ruins of old forts, and a bike and walking path for visitors, in addition to the campgrounds.
