Every January a herd of longhorn steers are herded through the streets of downtown Denver, Colorado. They lead the National Western Stock Show Kick-off Parade. In addition to the longhorns, there are cowboys, cowgirls, cowkids, tons of horses, wagons and stagecoaches, and countless fun western-type things to see!
Dating from 1910, the historic University Building in Denver is a marvel of art nouveau marble and brass. No longer owned by Denver University, Its 12 stories are leased to businesses. Here are some photos of this amazing beauty in the LoDo district.

On my second visit to the Broomfield, Colorado, Depot Museum, I was escorted through the museum's interior and educated by the knowledgeable staff. I also got to see the collections plus preservation and cataloging efforts by dedicated people who spend their valuable time educating Broomfield's citizens.
