Scottsbluff, Nebraska, and the Historic Midwest Theater

The Pony Express Lives! Annual Re-Ride, Part 2

I witnessed the annual re-ride of the original Pony Express in Scotts Bluff, Nebraska. Each year volunteer riders carry mail over the original route. You can even order a letter to be carried by them!

A leisurely stroll down Central Avenue in Nebraska City, Nebraska. A charming small town with lots of preserved Old West buildings and fun second-hand shopping. Only an hour from Lincoln or Omaha by car, this area lies on the Missouri River and had a rich history of American settlement.
